Nottingham Light Night is back for its fifth year on Friday 10 February with over twenty-three venues hosting indoor and outdoor events which will also feature light installations and projections across the city.
The programme of activities for Light Night features many free activities and events aimed to appeal to everyone, including illuminated characters on the city streets, an exciting dream walking event, chocolate lace making at the Tourism Centre and sword fighting at the ballroom in the Council House. Music and street performers will help transform the city and bring it to life after dark with events including the Nottingham Youth Theatre Celebrity Crawl, the Light Night Choir performing at St Peter's Church and lots of special events will be taking place at Nottingham Castle, Broadway Cinema, Nottingham Contemporary and many other venues across Nottingham.
This year licensees from across Nottingham city centre have joined forces to launch a festival of live music and entertainment as part of Light Night. Organised and co-funded by We Are Nottingham, highlights include a special light show at Saltwater, a UV extravaganza with canons and bubbles at Walkabout and art projections at The Bodega Social Club in conjunction with Nottingham Trent University.

We were just on a colorful parade and we don't have even festivals similar to this one. I really wan't something newer specially that involves lighting. Parties throughout the streets will be going to be so much fun!
